About
The Studio

Kaar (कार) is Hindi for maker.

Kalakaar. Jaadukaar. Contentkaar. A film and post-production studio built on eight years of professional craft — narrative edits, brand films, colour, sound, and AI-assisted production.

Some of that work is shown below; a good deal of it remains under client NDA and can only be shown privately. Either way, the craft is demonstrated openly on this page — a grade you can drag, concept frames you can inspect, and a process explained end to end.

One person, direct. No account managers, no handoffs. You speak to the person cutting your film.

Capability

What the studio can make before a camera rolls.

Previsualisation is how a film gets designed — mood, palette, movement and framing agreed before anyone books a location. Every frame below was produced in-studio. It is the same service offered to clients who want to see their film before paying to shoot it.

The Craft
See the Difference

Drag the frame. See the grade.

Colour is the difference between footage and a film. Drag the handle to compare an ungraded frame with the finished studio grade — then use the buttons below the frame to see the same treatment across different kinds of work.

Selected Work

Look development, frame by frame.

Mood, palette and lighting studies produced in-studio. This is what look development delivers: a film agreed on screen before a rupee is spent shooting it.

Identity
The Mark

A seal, not a logo.

the contentkaar seal - the Devanagari letter ka inside a scalloped gold mohar
The Maker's Sealक — the first letter of कार (kaar), meaning maker. Craftsmen stamp their work. This is ours.
the contentkaar seal on ink background
Fourteen raysThe scalloped edge is a traditional mohar and a sun — fourteen rays of prana, the energy the work runs on.

The wordmark"content" in ink, "kaar" always in gold — the maker is the highlight. The line above it is a shirorekha, the Devanagari headline stroke.
The mark, its meaning, and how it is applied across every deliverable.
For Clients
Work With the Kaar

Your story, made whole.

Four things this studio does, on their own or end to end. Every project starts with one conversation and a written approach — no templates, no packages you have to fit into.

01
✂️

Editing & Post

Narrative edits, ad cuts, reels that hold attention — pacing, rhythm, and restraint from 8 years in the timeline.

02
🎬

Films & Direction

Short films, brand films, and campaign stories — from one-page idea to final delivery, end to end.

03

AI Film Production

Previz, concept films, and AI-human hybrid pieces — the new wave, used with intention and always disclosed.

04
🎨

Color & Sound

Quiet grades and sound design that nobody notices — which is exactly the point. The film just feels right.

🔒

Trusted by brands, named and unnamed. Twenty-seven projects are shown above; a good deal more sits under client NDA and can be screened privately on a call. Either way, you don't have to take our word for the craft — drag the grade, inspect the frames, read the process.

Pricing
Straight Numbers

What it costs.

Most studios hide this. Here are honest starting points, so you know before you write. Every project still gets a written estimate against your actual brief — these are floors, not quotes.

What moves the number: shoot days, locations, talent, animation, and how fast you need it. Rush work carries an honest premium rather than a quiet one. What never changes: the revision rounds and deliverables are written into the estimate before work starts, so the price you agree is the price you pay.
The Process

From brief to something whole.

01

The Brief

One conversation. What's the story, who's it for, what should it feel like.

02

The Stillness

Script, references, AI previz — the film is rehearsed before a single frame is shot.

03

The Craft

Shoot and edit, with honest work-in-progress check-ins. No black box.

04

The Seal

Grade, sound, and finish — it ships only when it earns the stamp.

Questions

Asked, answered.

What can I hire the studio for?+
Editing and post-production, short films and brand films, ad and campaign edits, AI film production and previz, color grading, and sound design. One project or end-to-end — if it's a story in motion, it's in scope.
Can I see past client work?+
Yes — selected projects are in the Work section above. Beyond those, a good deal sits under client NDA; that work can be shown privately on a call where the agreement allows it.
Do you use AI on client projects?+
Where it serves the story — previsualisation, concept frames, and hybrid films — and always disclosed, always directed. AI generates footage. Taste makes films. You're hiring the taste.
What does a project cost?+
It depends on scope, not on a price list. A single reel edit and a multi-day brand film are different animals. Every estimate is written against your actual brief, with the deliverables and revision rounds stated up front so nothing moves later.
How long does it take?+
Typical turnarounds: social edits in 2–4 days, brand films in 2–4 weeks, previsualisation in under a week. Rush work is possible and priced honestly. You'll get work-in-progress check-ins throughout — no black box.
How do we start?+
Send one email with whatever you have — a script, a deck, or three honest sentences. You'll get a written approach and an estimate within 48 hours. If it's a fit, work usually starts within a week.
Have a brief?
Let's make it
something whole.

A script, a deck, or three honest sentences — that's enough to start. Every enquiry gets a reply within 48 hours with a written approach and an estimate. No obligation, no sales call.
